Families, regardless of make-up or size, are the cornerstones to society.  Protection of our children, security of our senior citizens ought to be our first concern.  Inclusion of all people (whether day care, skate park, parks and leisure, senior centre) in all public amenities ought to be seriously addressed.

RCMP accountability to municipality for priority setting, community organizations (COPS, Communities in Bloom) released would enable a stronger and more vibrant community for all.

Blaine feels we need to begin to look at creative solutions as opposed to relying on ‘the way we’ve always done it.’

*Can't we come up with a plan to build flood-proof housing on the acres and acres of 'low-lands' across our town?

*Why doesn't private enterprise build a conference centre?  maybe we could subsidize a partnership (private & Public) where the taxpayers aren't stuck with development, building, maintenance, staffing and ongoing utility costs!

*Affordable housing:  Does a $5 million project yielding 20 units of subsidized apartments ($250,000 each) a good use of our (taxpayers money?  IS THIS REALLY AFFORDABLE HOUSING?

*ZONING:  aren't zoning restrictions arbitrarily prohibiting business development?

*POLICE: Shouldn't our local police (contracted by local taxpayers dollars) be more responsive to local priorities rather than preset external directives?
